Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a pod of 8–10 engineers for DoorDash for Business. You will define the technical direction, roadmap with PMs, and own end-to-end delivery of a high-impact charter spanning US markets.

You will hire and grow your team, partner with Product, Design and Sales, and balance global consolidation with regional variation. The role demands ownership of architecture, on-call reliability, and cross-geo collaboration to ship scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Have 2+ years managing engineers (including hiring and performance management) on top of a strong track record as a senior individual contributor.
• Have shipped and operated production systems at scale—comfortable in architecture discussions and with senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own a business-critical charter end to end—set technical direction, define the roadmap with PMs and Business counterparts, and be accountable for what ships and how well it runs.
• Build and grow a team—hire, level up, and retain engineers; set the bar for what good looks like on your pod; give people work that stretches them.
• Work on a genuinely global product—your charter serves the US alongside EMENA, LATAM, and APAC, with partner pods in India, Helsinki, and Brazil; decide what is built globally versus regionally.
• Take on real architectural weight—consolidating onto one global stack, untangling parallel implementations, and making migration calls with production traffic.
• Raise the operational bar—own on-call health, incident response, and reliability investments across time zones.
• Partner with Sales and business teams to determine platform capabilities vs. one-offs and participate in decision-making.
