Job summary

You will lead efforts in high-availability architectures, drive code quality and mentoring, and help build a culture of ownership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes for highly available distributed systems.
• Experience delivering consumer experiences using React.
• 2+ years of Ad Tech or related platforms.
• Ability to define technical and execution plans; write high quality code.
• Comfort with ambiguity and understanding large systems.
• Growth trajectory showing feedback iteration with peers.
• Strong communication skills with a global team.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale and tie it to critical projects.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics across the product lifecycle.
• Advocate for technical solutions and operational processes as a force-multiplier.
• Own team operations and availability with monitoring, on-call, playbooks, and policies.
• Set code review and design standards and promote them beyond your team.
• Develop talent by providing feedback and guidance, leading by example.
