  • Experience owning delivery outcomes and sprint execution while partnering with Product and QA to ship quality software on time and within budget
  • Certified Scrum Master with experience leading Agile ceremonies and driving sprint execution
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or equivalent to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery workflows
  • Strong background in software development practices across both modern and legacy systems, including maintaining, modernizing, and evolving existing platform
  • Experience enforcing engineering standards around code quality, testing, and documentation
  • Strong analytical thinking and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competitive base
  • Generous vacation policy
  • Full medical, dental, and vision packages
  • LTD and STD coverage options
  • 100% employer covered Basic life and AD&D
  • 100% employer covered Employee Assistant Program

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering accountability, growth, and a quality-first mindset
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development conversations
  • Support individual growth through mentorship, skill development, and clear progression pathways
  • Build a collaborative, cross-functional team environment across Dev, QA, and Product
  • Champion configuration-driven architecture over hardcoded solutions, enabling a "just works" experience for end users while reducing fragility and unnecessary code deployments
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
  • Ensure backlog items entering sprints are fully ready - specified, approved, and estimated per team standards
  • Remove impediments and shield the team from distractions and unplanned interruptions
  • Coach the team toward continuous improvement, better estimation, and sustainable delivery practices
  • Own delivery outcomes, ensuring the team ships quality software on time and within estimate
  • Manage team capacity and sprint commitments to ensure realistic, achievable delivery plans
  • Partner with Product and QA to plan, prioritize, and execute work effectively
  • Monitor/manage work item flow through the SDLC, minimizing blockers, rework, and aging tickets (carryover)
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks early, escalating when necessary to protect timelines and quality
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and release activities, ensuring timely communication and adherence to release schedules
  • Provide clear, consistent visibility into team progress, risks, and delivery timelines to stakeholders
  • Own end-to-end quality outcomes, reducing defects, rework, and QA returns through proactive engineering practices
  • Provide technical guidance and input on architecture, design patterns, and engineering decisions
  • Enforce engineering standards around code quality, testing, documentation, and best practices
  • Advocate for engineering decisions that improve product stability, scalability and usability while reducing long-term support costs, favoring customer self-service over manual intervention
  • Partner with Product to influence roadmap priorities, balancing customer value, technical debt, and engineering capacity
  • Empower teams to break from standard process when severity demands it by leading response for escalated items - mobilizing cross-functional teams and driving same-day or next-day deployments to restore service levels
  • Contribute hands-on when needed to unblock the team or solve critical technical problems
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools and modern practices to improve engineering productivity and code quality
