Global Payments is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead two senior teams and drive high-quality software in a fast-paced environment. You will mentor engineers, ensure robust testing and observability, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions for global commerce.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding up to 10% of time, strong C#/.NET expertise, and leadership in Agile/SAFe practices to enable reliable, automated delivery across platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years as a software engineer with at least 1 year of managing teams.
• Experience delivering large projects with complex integration.
• Strong C# and .NET development experience.
• Track record of delivering projects on time using development processes and resource planning.
• Experience scaling teams and mentoring engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop two agile teams of engineers and SDETs.
• Ensure testing coverage and automation efforts are achieved and maintain code quality.
• Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs and KPIs for observability.
• Spend up to 10% of time on hands-on coding, testing, or bug fixes when needed.
• Partner with Sales, Pricing, Onboarding, Implementation, and Product Ops to deliver end-to-end processes.
• Provide leadership, plan activities, track progress, and resolve issues to meet milestones.
• Mentor team members and grow individual career paths.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to prioritize backlogs and roadmap.
• Work with Site Reliability and platform teams to optimize CI/CD and test automation.
