Job summary

Edurio is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our development team and own how we work. You will guide five developers and a QA engineer, set expectations, support growth, and ensure delivery of both the survey platform and Edurio Hub.

You will still write code as a player-coach, coordinate delivery with Product, and explain technical trade-offs to non-technical colleagues. Our stack includes Vue, TypeScript, AWS CDK, Postgres, and testing tools; a passion for people leadership and quality

Qualifications

Experience leading an engineering team that builds with coding agents.
Ability to handle the people side: accountability, wellbeing and growth conversations.
Sufficient seniority to coordinate work while not needing to be the single most experienced engineer.
Experience establishing and teaching development processes.

Responsibilities

Lead the developers and the QA engineer: expectations and performance, growth, workload and wellbeing, hiring future engineers.
Actively participate in writing code yourself - player-coach rather than a detached manager.
Own the team’s commitments, release planning and adjust plans as needed.
Own how we estimate work and ensure estimation accuracy and consistency.
Run the rhythm the team works to: standups, planning, demos and retrospectives.
Ensure development standards are followed and highlight gaps between standards and practice.
Own how development and product work together from kick-off to release.
