Job summary

Block is seeking an Engineering Manager in Finance & Supply Chain Engineering to lead a high‑performing team building critical financial and supply chain systems. You will shape the foundations for a new generation of automated workflows and agentic platforms, partnering with Finance, Tax, Compliance, Product and Operations to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

You will guide architecture, drive delivery, mentor engineers, and build a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years in leadership or management of engineers.
• Ability to guide delivery, architecture and team health.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering team across multiple levels.
• Shape a greenfield platform for financial and supply chain systems.
• Build agentic systems that automate workflows and improve decision making.
• Set technical direction with stakeholders across finance, tax, product and operations.
• Drive execution with clear priorities and measurable outcomes.

• Ensure reliability, observability, security and resilience of systems.
