Job summary

Affirm is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Consumer team to lead front-end engineers across mobile and web platforms. You will shape technical strategy, drive multi-quarter roadmaps, and empower your team to deliver high-quality, scalable experiences for millions of users.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Design and Analytics to align roadmaps with business goals while fostering a high-trust, inclusive culture. Remote-first with flexible office options supports a distributed workforce.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years in management.
• Experience delivering consumer-facing software and driving execution through ambiguity.
• Ability to guide architecture, quality, and reliability decisions and empower senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a balanced team of engineers with clear expectations and growth.
• Own the team’s technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap aligned to major experience initiatives.
• Empower tech lead and engineers in design and cross-functional alignment.
• Own availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems.
• Drive alignment across organizations and influence partner experience roadmaps.
• Partner with Product, Design, Analytics and other Engineering teams to build trust.
