Job summary

Affirm is seeking an empowering Engineering Manager to lead Repayment UX, a high-trust surface across our products. This fully remote role is based in Poland, with an Europe-based team in the same time zone and a Silicon Valley culture.

You’ll guide the team’s roadmap, own delivery, and partner with Product, Design, and Analytics to ship customer-focused experiences. You’ll mentor engineers, drive technical direction, ensure availability and reliability of consumer-facing systems, and help grow

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing and growing teams.
• Proven experience delivering consumer-facing software and driving execution through ambiguity.
• Experience leading technical initiatives end-to-end and guiding architecture and reliability decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a well-balanced team of engineers, with clear expectations and feedback.
• Own the team's technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap aligned with customer trust and business goals.
• Empower the tech lead and engineers to uphold design and quality, with hands-on support.
• Own availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems, including on-call and incident response.
• Break large programs into sprint-sized milestones with accountable owners.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, and other teams across the org.
• Drive hiring and onboarding to grow a diverse, high-performing team; foster ownership and transparency.
