Job summary

MYR Energy Services in Phoenix, AZ, seeks an Engineering Manager (EPC) to oversee electrical substation, transmission, and distribution programs from bid to closeout. You will lead engineering delivery through third-party consultants, coordinate design reviews, support procurement and construction, and ensure final as-built documentation.

The role requires 7+ years in design/engineering/PM, PE preferred, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design, engineering, or project management experience in electrical transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• PE license preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare proposals for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Define and establish project scope for alignment with client and third party consultants.
• Manage and coordinate detailed design activities with engineering subcontractors and oversee related deliverables from bidding to as-builts.
• Coordinate project procurement activities with engineering subcontractors and the Procurement Manager, including bidding, specifications, and contracting.
• Work with material vendors to expedite procurement information and deliverables, or delegate these tasks to the Procurement Manager as needed.
• Define and prepare the project's engineering standards, specifications, and procurement requirements.
• Plan and coordinate daily engineering subcontractor and procurement activities with the Project Executive and/or Project Manager.
• Support negotiations with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
