Job summary

MYR Energy Services Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager (EPC) to oversee engineering and procurement programs for electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects.

You will coordinate with third-party engineers, support procurement, and ensure final as-built documentation is complete. The role requires 7+ years in design, engineering, or project management within electrical transmission/substation projects and may prefer PE licensure.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design, engineering, or project management experience in electrical transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• PE licensure preferred.
• Experience managing project teams or consultants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare proposals for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Define and establish project scope aligned with client and third‑party consultants.
• Manage design activities with engineering subcontractors and oversee deliverables from bidding to as‑built.
• Coordinate procurement activities with subcontractors and the Procurement Manager.
• Work with vendors to expedite procurement information and deliverables.
• Define and prepare the project’s engineering standards, specifications, and procurement requirements.
• Plan and coordinate daily engineering subcontractor and procurement activities with leadership.
• Support negotiations with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
