Job summary

MYR Energy Services is seeking an Engineering Manager (EPC) to lead electrical substation, transmission, and distribution programs from bid to closeout. You will supervise engineering delivery through third-party consultants, coordinate design reviews, and support procurement and construction while ensuring final as-built documentation.

The role requires 7+ years in design/engineering or project management related to electrical transmission/substation work, with PE preferred and EPC/contract

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design, engineering, or project management experience related to electrical transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• Experience managing project teams or consultants preferred.
• Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) preferred.
• Construction or EPC project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare proposals for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Define and establish project scope for alignment with client and third party consultants.
• Manage and coordinate detailed design activities with engineering subcontractors and oversee related deliverables throughout the design lifecycle.
• Coordinate project procurement activities with engineering subcontractors and the Procurement Manager.
• Work with material vendors to expedite procurement information and deliverables.
• Define and prepare the project's engineering standards, specifications, and procurement requirements.
• Plan and coordinate daily engineering subcontractor and procurement activities with the Project Executive/Manager.
• Support negotiations with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
