Job summary

Affirm is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Frontend Experiences team across iOS, Android, and Web, focusing on the Home hub and consumer journeys. You will mentor engineers, own the team's technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap, and collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, and other engineering groups to deliver scalable, reliable consumer-facing applications.

The role emphasizes remote-first collaboration across the US with competitive pay, equity, and health benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in people leadership.
• Proven track record delivering consumer-facing software at scale.
• Experience guiding architecture, quality, and reliability decisions.
• Experience leading major technical initiatives end-to-end.
• Familiarity with modern full-stack development patterns and React ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a well-balanced team of engineers – set expectations and develop each engineer.
• Own the team’s technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap tied to major initiatives.
• Empower the tech lead and engineers to maintain design and quality bars.
• Own availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems.
• Drive alignment across organizations and influence partner experience roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Analytics across engineering teams.
