Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the Seattle area is seeking a Manager for Engines Integrated Hardware in the Loop and R&D Labs. You will lead a multidisciplinary team across BE-IHIL, V&M, and CD Labs, setting technical direction and overseeing day-to-day lab operations.

You will balance hands-on engineering judgment with people leadership, drive design reviews, and ensure adherence to codes and specifications while interfacing with program leadership.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree, or higher, in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Experience leading and running small teams on fast-paced projects with little direction and under minimal supervision.
• U.S. citizen or national or lawful resident as required by U.S. regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain scope and goals for BE-IHIL, V&M, and CD Labs in line with Engines customer needs.
• Serve as technical authority for BE-IHIL, V&M and CD Labs and approve critical design packages.
• Directly manage engineers and technicians, recruiting and developing talent.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality across multiple test stations.
• Coordinate with program managers and systems engineers to align lab capabilities with program goals.
