Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Lab Supervisor to lead a development and test technician team in our Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering lab. You will mentor staff, drive safe, efficient work, and ensure adherence to quality standards while supporting engineering development activities.

You will plan daily work, coordinate with engineering teams for testing and hardware builds, and manage lab resources and documentation while pursuing continuous improvement and team growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of aerospace labs, manufacturing, or technical ops experience.
• 1+ year in a leadership, supervisory, or team-lead role.
• Strong safety practices and quality standards.
• Proficient with data tracking, reporting, and productivity tools.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of development lab technicians.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work to meet schedules and milestones.
• Ensure lab activities comply with safety protocols and quality standards.
• Partner with engineering teams to support testing, prototyping, and builds.
• Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.
• Train and onboard new technicians and ensure skill development.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency, quality, safety.
• Manage lab resources, tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on lab operations.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality.
