Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced Lab Supervisor to lead a development and test technician team in our Washington lab. You will mentor the team, assign daily work, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence as we support engineering development activities.

You will partner with engineers to support testing, prototyping, and hardware builds while driving continuous improvement and documenting lab operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in aerospace labs, manufacturing, or technical operations environment.
• 1+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and quality standards.
• Proficiency with data tracking, reporting, and productivity tools.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience mentoring or training entry-level employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of development lab technicians.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work to meet development schedules and program milestones.
• Ensure all lab activities comply with safety protocols and quality standards.
• Partner with engineering teams to support development testing and hardware builds.
• Monitor team performance and conduct performance evaluations.
• Train and onboard new technicians and ensure proper skill development.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and safety.
• Manage lab resources, tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Maintain documentation and reports related to lab operations.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions when issues arise.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and quality.
