Job summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager in Steamboat Springs, CO to lead maintenance operations for the property. The role oversees HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire systems, manages service contracts and the engineering budget, and partners with leadership to control expenses and ensure regulatory compliance.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with several years in engineering/maintenance, plus a 2-year degree and related experience;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major.

Responsibilities

• Manages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems.
• Administers service contracts to support property needs.
• Coaches and supports engineering leadership to manage controllable expenses.
• Develops an engineering operating strategy aligned with the property/brand's business strategy.
• Oversees long-term preventative maintenance and 10-year asset protection plans.
• Reviews financial reports to determine engineering performance against budget.
