Job summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide in Hawaii is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead operations across the property's physical plant, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. You will develop budgets, supervise staff and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety standards.

You will collaborate with regional leadership to optimize performance, manage service contracts, and drive long term preventive maintenance and asset protection plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 6 years in engineering/maintenance experience; HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.
• OR 2-year degree with 4 years in engineering/maintenance; HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.

Responsibilities

• Manages engineering operations and budgets; monitors performance against budget and flags concerns.
• Oversees physical plant: equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems per SOPs.
• Administers service contracts to support property needs.
• Ensures fire crew understands procedures, equipment and alarms.
• Coaches engineering leadership to manage controllable expenses (wages, utilities, supplies).
• Develops engineering operating strategy aligned with brand/business goals; manages budgeting.
• Oversees long-term preventive maintenance and 10-year asset protection plans.
• Reviews financial reports to assess budget performance; proposes solutions.
• Communicates departmental goals clearly to achieve results.
• Supervises construction to ensure timely completion within budget.
