Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to join our Inland Northwest team with focus on roads and highways projects in Idaho and Eastern Washington.

You will gain hands-on experience in roadway design, construction documents, and utility coordination while working with seasoned engineers and project managers. You will use OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D to transform concepts into constructible plans, participate in site visits, and support multi-discipline

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0–3 years of Civil Engineering experience.
• Exposure to OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D through experience or coursework.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and design of roadway, highway, and intersection projects.
• Prepare design calculations, exhibits, plan sheets, and cost estimates.
• Develop and revise plans using OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D.
• Review maps, surveys, reports, and other design data.
• Assist with construction documents and technical reports.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
• Assist with utility conflict identification and coordination.
