Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to join our Inland Northwest team with offices in Tri-Cities, WA; Spokane, WA; Coeur d’Alene, ID; Pocatello, ID; and Boise, ID.

You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop practical roadway and multimodal solutions and gain hands-on design experience. You will use OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D to transform concepts into constructible plans, while benefiting from mentorship, training, and progressively more complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required or closely related field.
• 0-3 years Civil Engineering experience.
• Exposure to OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D via work, internship, or coursework.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and design of roadway, highway, intersections, and other transportation projects.
• Prepare design calculations, exhibits, plan sheets, details, quantities, and cost estimates under supervision.
• Develop and revise engineering plans using OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D.
• Review maps, survey data, reports, and other information for design.
• Assist with construction documents, reports, specs, and project documentation.
