Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to join our Inland Northwest Transportation team with locations in Tri-Cities, WA; Spokane, WA; Coeur d’Alene, ID; Pocatello, ID; or Boise, ID.

You’ll work with experienced engineers to develop roadway and multimodal projects across Idaho and Eastern Washington. You will gain hands-on experience with design, calculations, and construction support, using OpenRoads Designer or Civil 3D, while building skills and progressing toward

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 0–3 years of Civil Engineering experience.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer or Civil 3D via work, internship, or coursework.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and design of roadway, highway, and intersection projects.
• Prepare design calculations, plan sheets, details, and estimates under guidance.
• Develop and revise plans using OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D.
• Review maps, surveys, reports, and other technical information for design.
• Assist with construction documents, reports, specs, and project docs.
