Job summary

Pike Engineering in New York is seeking an entry-level engineer to provide engineering/technical expertise under close supervision. You will develop your skills with increasing independence, supporting planning, estimates, scheduling, and documentation.

The role emphasizes problem solving, reports, and professional representation of the company. Responsibilities include resolving engineering issues, maintaining records, and participating in storm restoration activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering from ABET/EAC accredited program or recognized equivalent.
• Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.
• Ability to research engineering/design issues and present recommendations.
• Knowledge of distribution construction standards and methods.
• Understanding of basic electricity and power quality.
• Valid driver's license and passing Engineering Fundamentals Exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical expertise and guidance in problem resolution.
• Plan, organize, estimate, scheduling, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, correspondence, calculations, and sketches.
• Support Pike Engineering's goals and represent the company professionally.
• Participate in storm restoration activities as needed.
