Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a first-level engineer to contribute technical expertise under close supervision. You will develop your skills in engineering fundamentals and work with greater independence over time, with field and office responsibilities.

The role emphasizes problem solving, documentation, and professional representation of the company, including storm restoration support as needed. A relevant engineering degree is required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or an approved NCEES evaluation of non-ABET credentials.
• Understanding of basic electricity and power quality.
• Knowledge of distribution construction standards and methods.
• Ability to research engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, and present recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical expertise for identification, analysis, and resolution of problems.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
• Support Pike Engineering's goals and represent the company positively and professionally.
• Participate in storm restoration activities as needed.
