Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an engineer at the second level who will provide engineering expertise to solve complex problems with some supervision. The role emphasizes developing advanced skills and greater independence while supporting company goals and representing Pike professionally.

You will contribute to identifying and analyzing issues, preparing accurate technical reports, and communicating effectively with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from ABET/EAC accredited engineering program or equivalent.
• 2–4 years’ experience as a practicing engineer.
• Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.
• Understanding of researching engineering/design issues, evaluating alternatives, and presenting recommendations.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deal with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve problems under supervision.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare thorough technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
• Pursue continuous improvement of engineering knowledge, skills and performance.
• Maintain accurate records and files; communicate effectively.
• Support the company’s goals and represent Pike professionally.
• Collaborate with team members to lead tasks and manage multiple assignments.
