Job summary

The Associate Engagement Coordinator at SpartanNash’s Family Fare stores drives the employment life cycle for the assigned location. You will support hiring, orientation, training, safety and internal communications to foster a people-first culture.

You will partner with the local HR Business Partner, manage 90-day onboarding and engagement programs, and ensure compliance and effective store communications across the Harrison, MI location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• College degree or coursework in Business Administration, Human Resources or related area preferred.
• One-year HR administrative support experience or related coursework required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service.
• Attention to detail, data entry skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle recruiting in Workday: posting jobs, interviewing, coordinating final interviews, offers and onboarding.
• Set up and conduct store orientation as needed.
• Partner with local HR Business Partner to post or add hiring events or resources.
• Manage first 90 days of employment to validate training and drive retention.
• Own store engagement programs including daily/weekly recognition.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong written/verbal communication.
• Own compliance at store level (I-9, terminations, minor work permits) and reporting.
• Manage off-stage associate spaces (break rooms, offices, training spaces).
• May act as Person-In-Charge for portions of weekly schedules.
