Job summary

Cape Cod Community College is seeking a Coordinator of Student Engagement to develop, implement, and assess programs that foster student connection, belonging, leadership, and success across College locations.

The role collaborates with Wellness, Recreation, and Admissions to create an integrated calendar of activities, supports student clubs, and guides leadership development. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 6 years' related experience in higher education or equivalent settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Six (6) years of professional experience in student engagement, student activities, student affairs, leadership development, orientation, student organizations, program coordination, community engagement, or a related area.
• Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and assessing programs, events, or initiatives that promote student engagement, connection, leadership, or belonging.
• Experience advising, mentoring, or supporting students, student organizations, student leaders, or similar populations.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships, communicate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel between College locations and off-campus activities.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and assess a comprehensive program of student engagement initiatives that strengthen student connection, belonging, leadership development, persistence, and success.
• Collaborate with wellness promotion, recreation and fitness, essential needs, to develop an integrated calendar of programs and initiatives.
• Coordinate a year-round calendar of student engagement opportunities (Welcome Week, traditions, cultural programs, etc.).
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to student clubs and organizations, including policies and fiscal practices.
• Serve as co-advisor to the Student Government Association and support elections, governance, and budgeting processes.
• Develop inclusive leadership opportunities to build skills in leadership, communication, collaboration, and civic engagement.
• Support new student transition and engagement initiatives, including orientation and Welcome Week.
• Develop inclusive engagement strategies to reach a diverse student population across locations.
• Collaborate to develop heritage and cultural celebrations and community-building activities.
• Coordinate opportunities for community service, volunteerism, and civic engagement.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor student employees and leaders.
• Develop and coordinate student engagement communications and outreach.
