Job summary

TEKsystems Global Services is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead engagements, manage client expectations, and ensure successful delivery—on time and within budget. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder communications while guiding teams toward measurable outcomes and client satisfaction.

Based in Seattle with remote capabilities, the EM will drive business development opportunities and collaborate with practice partners to expand services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English).
• Analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• People management skills.
• Experience in project management fundamentals or as an acting Scrum Master.
• Exposure to professional services agreements, including change management.
• Exposure to IT Managed Services, project management classes, and other IT certifications.
• Demonstrated project risk analysis and mitigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Engagement Management: Overseeing engagements to ensure objectives are met, delivered on time, and within budget.
• Financial Management: Managing the financial aspects of engagements, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring profitability.
• Resource Allocation and Optimization: Ensuring efficient utilization of resources across engagements, optimizing team performance and engagement outcomes.
• Risk Management and Mitigation: Identifying potential risks early and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure engagement stability.
• Client Relationship Management: Building rapport and maintaining relationships with client stakeholders to understand their long-term goals and align services accordingly.
• Stakeholder Communication: Providing regular updates to internal/external stakeholders on engagement progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Performance Reporting: Preparing detailed performance reports and presenting them to senior management and clients.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead engagement teams, mentor junior resources, and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Client Satisfaction and Retention: Focus on client satisfaction and retention by delivering high-quality services and promptly addressing issues.
• Business Development: Identifies opportunities and collaborates with sales/practice partners to upsell and cross-sell to existing clients, contributing to organic business growth.
