Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Plano, TX is seeking a dedicated activities professional to enrich resident life. You will plan and lead Engage Life programs, coordinate recreational activities, and ensure residents are engaged and safe in daily routines.

This role involves organizing events, greeting new residents, maintaining schedules, and supporting census-building initiatives. A high school diploma or GED is required, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Some driving may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3–6 months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engage Life programs and residents' activities.
• Plan and provide a variety of recreational activities with appropriate supervision.
• Develop and organize programs for residents, including those confined to rooms.
• Engage and motivate residents to participate in activities.
• Inform residents of upcoming events and maintain a current activity schedule.
• Greet new residents and help integrate them into community life.
• Assist in planning parties and seasonal events and in hosting monthly celebrations.
• Support census-building initiatives and involve volunteers as needed.
• Maintain records of participation and activity outcomes as required by state law.
• May drive the company vehicle to social or other events if required by community.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
