Job summary

Atria Senior Living - Canyon Creek in Plano is seeking an Engage Life program facilitator to organize and lead activities that enrich residents' daily lives and exceed expectations for active aging.

You will develop diverse recreational programs, supervise activities with attentive oversight, greet new residents, assist in planning parties and community celebrations, and maintain schedules and records to ensure smooth operation of the Engage Life initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3–6 months related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Leads Engage Life programs and activities for residents.
• Provides diverse recreational activities with supervision.
• Develops programs for residents, including those confined to their rooms.
• Engages and motivates residents to participate in activities.
• Maintains activity schedules and bulletin boards; welcomes new residents.
• Assists in planning parties, seasonal decorations, and monthly celebrations.
• Supports census-building initiatives and volunteer recruitment.
• Maintains records of participation and activity acceptance as required by state law.
