Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking an Engage Life Coordinator in Shreveport, LA to plan and lead resident engagement activities, coordinate events, and promote an active aging lifestyle. You will collaborate with residents to create enjoyable opportunities, and may act as manager on duty to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include developing program calendars, coordinating transportation and volunteers, and working with staff to achieve high resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor preferred.
• 1–2 years coordinating, planning and executing group activities/events.
• Effective English communication with residents, staff, and vendors.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record; may drive company or personal vehicle.
• Proficient computer skills including Word/Outlook/Excel; uses tablets/tech devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engage Life programs and develop daily/weekly/monthly plans.
• Keep residents connected to others, hobbies, and the community.
• Teach and lead exercises; assist with fitness equipment usage.
• Engage and motivate residents; include those confined to apartments.
• Welcome new residents and integrate them into activities.
• Publish engaging monthly program calendars on schedule.
• Support Operations to meet customer satisfaction standards.
• Open/close procedures; act as manager on duty as required.
• Engage in community PR and coordinate local publicity.
• Coordinate needs within budget; hire/train Driver staff; recruit volunteers.
• Plan parties/events and decorate for seasons/holidays.
• Maintain clean, organized spaces; perform additional duties as needed.
