Geronimo Power in Bloomington, MN, is seeking an Energy Storage Engineer II to support a growing portfolio of utility-scale battery energy storage projects. This role contributes to the project lifecycle from development through turnover, under guidance from senior engineers.

You will review drawings, assist with equipment evaluation, coordinate interfaces, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance. Travel up to 15% and opportunities for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Typically, two or more years of engineering experience in battery energy storage or related power systems.
• Ability to review technical drawings, calculations, and equipment documentation with moderate guidance.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Commitment to safe, ethical, and high-quality work.

Responsabilités

• Support BESS engineering activities across development, design, interconnection, procurement, construction, commissioning.
• Review drawings and vendor documentation, identify gaps, and pursue timely resolutions.
• Assist with evaluating BESS equipment such as BMS, PCS, EMS, SCADA, and balance‑of‑plant systems.
• Contribute to conceptual design, equipment sizing, and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate technical interfaces among suppliers, EPC contractors, utilities, and project teams.
• Maintain engineering records, action logs, and technical decisions in a timely manner.
• Support testing, energization, commissioning, turnover, and early operations.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and utility criteria.
