Job summary

ENGIE North America seeks a Sales Representative III to prospect and acquire new Commercial and Industrial customers in the Texas ERCOT region. The role sits in Houston, TX or Dallas, TX and reports to the Regional VP of Sales - ERCOT.

You will self-originate opportunities via campaigns and Hoovers data, negotiate terms, and close deals while coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and revenue realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; or 7 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years in retail energy sales or sales strategy
• Direct sales experience in the retail energy industry
• Persuasive communication, negotiation skills, and ability to interact with executive-level decision-makers
• Self-driven and quick to learn new products, processes and systems
• Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
• Hybrid work policy eligibility
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 15% and some overnight trips
• Valid U.S. driver’s license / clean driving record
• Willing to comply with ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer creditworthiness according to Credit Guidelines to gather data for credit risk analysis.
• Gather consumption data and account information to qualify customer interest and tailor price proposals.
• Master ENGIE product offerings and communicate how proposals align with customer requirements.
• Utilize questioning, listening, and persuasive skills to assess needs, propose tailored electricity offers, negotiate terms, and close transactions, collaborating with key teams.
