Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an Operations Work Coordinator in Sioux Falls, SD to maintain and coordinate daily work plans with emphasis on safety, customer satisfaction, quality improvement and regulatory compliance. Generate work orders and perform final review and closeout of completed work packets to ensure data integrity across systems.

You will support scheduling, labor and material coordination, and back up other operations roles while collaborating with local supervisors to optimize resources

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum three years related experience in construction, design, maintenance or operations (utility experience preferred).
• Must understand regular work functions including work order management, payroll, invoicing, materials, safety, policies, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to schedule and manage work activities to meet customer/internal needs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
• Ability to retrieve and manipulate data from reporting tools.
• Knowledge of and ability to use a wide range of computer software including Microsoft products, work management, mapping and scheduling/project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a daily work plan and daily crew roster; adjust schedules and assign crews for priority tasks.
• Generate work orders and complete job closeout of all work packets; analyze reports to verify labor and equipment charges.
• Support requests for locates, materials, coordinating other utilities, or scheduling equipment; back up to other Operations roles.
• Maintain data integrity across systems; reconcile packets to avoid discrepancies in labor, materials, and transportation charges.
• Collaborate with local supervisors and stakeholder groups to maximize productivity and efficiency of resources.
