Job summary

Atelier Ten US seeks a full-time Design Staff with a specialty in Energy Analysis to collaborate on projects that improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. You will produce technical deliverables, run energy models, and develop strategies for HVAC and building systems within a multidisciplinary environmental design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Architectural/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of professional work experience in building energy analysis or high-performance HVAC design.
• Experience with specialized energy simulation software (IES-VE, EnergyPlus, eQuest).
• Ability to articulate engineering problems related to HVAC, building envelope, energy use and carbon emissions.
• Experience with ASHRAE 55, 62.1, 90.1, 189 and energy codes in projects.
• Familiarity with LEED, WELL, Living Building Challenge or similar rating systems.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply energy analysis protocols (ASHRAE 90.1 and others) for new and existing projects.
• Develop energy models (IES-VE, EnergyPlus, eQUEST) to support design options.
• Support sustainability assessments and life cycle cost analyses.
• Collaborate with architects and design teams to recommend energy and carbon improvements.
• Attend site visits and present analyses to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain internal databases and tools.
