Atelier Ten US in New York City seeks a full-time Design Staff with a specialty in Energy Analysis to collaborate on projects achieving energy efficiency and carbon reduction. You will produce technical deliverables, run whole building energy models, and develop strategies for building systems in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a field related to Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Sustainable Building Design
• 2-5 years professional work experience in building energy analysis or high-performance HVAC design at the commercial building scale
• Experience in specialized building energy simulation software (IES-VE and/or eQuest preferred, EnergyPlus and/or Grasshopper is a plus)
• Ability to develop and articulate engineering problems related to HVAC system design, building envelope performance, passive conditioning strategies, building energy use, and carbon emissions.
• Experience with applying ASHRAE Standards 55, 62.1, 90.1, and 189 to new and/or existing building projects.
• Experience with Green Building Rating systems (e.g., LEED, WELL, Living Building Challenge) and energy code compliance (i.e. IECC or 90.1) in various design stages.
• Experience gathering and documenting energy model inputs and outputs; interpreting results and documenting the analysis in written and graphical format.
• Verbal and written fluency in English
• Proficiency in MS Office specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Responsabilidades

• Learn internal energy analysis methodologies following ASHRAE 90.1 and other standards for new/existing buildings
• Develop shoe-box and whole building energy models in IES-VE, EnergyPlus and eQUEST
• Support senior staff to coordinate sustainability assessments and energy analyses
• Collaborate with architects to make energy and carbon emission improvement recommendations
• Assist with energy analysis-related work including carbon calculations and life cycle cost analysis
• Attend site visits, project meetings, and present analyses to stakeholders
• Develop and maintain in-house data tools, databases, and standards
