Job summary

Atelier Ten is seeking an Environmental Designer with a specialty in Energy Analysis to join our New York or San Francisco teams. The role focuses on whole building energy modeling, HVAC strategy, and decarbonizing the built environment.

You will produce technical deliverables, advise on energy performance, and lead analysis efforts for diverse projects. You should have 2–5 years in building energy analysis, strong modeling skills (IES-VE, eQuest, EnergyPlus), and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Architectural/Mechanical/Building Science fields.
• 2–5 years of building energy analysis or high‑performance HVAC design experience.
• Experience with energy simulation software (IES-VE, eQuest, EnergyPlus).
• Experience applying ASHRAE 55, 62.1, 90.1, 189 to buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform whole building energy modeling and simulations.
• Develop energy efficiency strategies for HVAC and building envelopes.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to improve energy performance.
• Prepare technical reports for clients and project teams.
• Lead energy analysis efforts across multiple projects and locations.
• Support training and development within the Energy Analysis practice.
