Job summary

Atelier Ten US seeks Atelier Ten San Francisco's newest full-time Design Staff with a specialty in Energy Analysis to collaborate on projects achieving energy efficiency and carbon reductions. You would help produce technical deliverables, perform whole-building energy modeling, and develop engineering strategies for building systems (HVAC), working within an interdisciplinary environmental design team.

This position is in the New York City office and is not a remote position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years of building energy analysis or high-performance HVAC design experience.
• Experience with IES-VE, EnergyPlus, eQuest; Grasshopper is a plus.
• Ability to articulate engineering problems related to HVAC and energy use.
• Experience with ASHRAE 55, 62.1, 90.1, 189; LEED/WELL/Living Building challenges.
• Fluent in English and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop energy models and analyses to support design decisions.
• Collaborate with architects and design teams on energy and carbon improvements.
• Support sustainability assessments and life-cycle cost analyses.
• Attend site visits and present analyses to stakeholders.
• Develop in-house databases and modeling tools.
