Job summary

Cascade Energy is seeking an Engineer II with Energy Efficiency and RCx experience to assess operations, model performance, and write feasibility reports while leading project management for industrial and commercial facilities.

The role includes on-site client engagement, energy-savings analyses, and building relationships to generate additional work, with travel about 20%. Candidates must reside in NY, NJ, CT, PA, RI, MA, VT, or southern ME.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of engineering experience, preferably in energy or energy-related fields.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air, steam systems, and data-logging of system results.
• Experience with energy efficiency in commercial/industrial facilities; retro-commissioning (RCx).
• Familiarity with SEM and utility programs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects with overall management, direction, and accountability.
• Perform energy-savings analyses using established tools and methodologies.
• Engage with on-site clients to identify energy-efficiency opportunities.
• Build client relationships and identify opportunities for additional work.
• Prepare energy-efficiency reports and document performance data.
