Job summary

Cascade Energy is seeking an Engineer II with Energy Efficiency and Retro-commissioning (RCx) experience to work with clients, assess operations, and identify energy savings in industrial and/or commercial facilities. You will gather data, build optimization models, write feasibility reports, and manage projects while contributing to peer review and QA.

This full-time, exempt role requires residence in NY, NJ, CT, PA, RI, MA, VT, or southern ME, and may involve up to 20% travel to work sites and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 – 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in energy or energy related fields
• Technical knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air systems, steam systems, modeling of systems, electrical distribution design, data-logging of results
• Experience in energy efficiency in commercial and/or industrial facilities
• Experience doing retro-commissioning (RCx)

Responsibilities

• Lead projects with overall management, direction, and accountability.
• Perform energy-savings analyses using established tools and methodologies.
• Engage on-site with clients to identify energy-efficiency opportunities.
• Develop client relationships and identify opportunities to generate additional work.
• Prepare energy-efficiency reports and maintain performance data and compliance knowledge.
