Job summary

Cascade Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer I to lead energy efficiency projects, perform RCx studies, and mentor team members. The role involves on-site client engagement, data collection, and delivering actionable recommendations to improve energy performance in industrial and commercial facilities.

The position is full-time, with travel ~20% and no fixed office requirement; ideal candidates live in NY, NJ, CT, PA, RI, MA, VT, or southern ME and are eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related field of study.
• 5 – 8 years of engineering experience.
• Expert knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air systems, steam systems, and modeling of systems; electrical distribution system design; data-logging of results.
• Experience in energy efficiency in commercial/industrial facilities.
• Experience with retro-commissioning (RCx).
• Experience with Strategic Energy Management (SEM).

Responsibilities

• Project leadership and delivery of high-profile energy projects; mentor peers and review work.
• Energy analysis and savings calculations using established tools and methodologies.
• On-site client engagement to identify opportunities and develop new work.
• Technical communication to diverse audiences to build understanding and consensus.
• Data collection, reporting and program compliance, including data logging and energy reports.
