Job summary

CenterPoint Energy in Evansville, IN is seeking a Dispatch Operator to monitor, dispatch, and balance work orders to field personnel. You will respond to information requests and provide clear communication between customer service representatives and field crews.

The position requires one year of experience with SAP or a mobile data dispatching system and at least one year in gas distribution operations or equivalent dispatching experience, plus a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires one year experience with SAP or a mobile data dispatching system and at least one year experience in/or supporting gas distribution operations or at least one year of equivalent dispatching experience.

Responsibilities

• Answers the telephone and performs call-ahead request for field technicians.
• Receives and dispatches calls and locates.
• Dispatches orders via Mobile Data.
• Monitors, routes, and documents work orders to service technicians; reviews backlogged work orders.
• Coordinates daily operational requirements between internal and external stakeholders.
• Resolves scheduling concerns between the company's Call Center, customers, and supervision to achieve optimum results.
• Acts as liaison between the company, customers, state and local governmental agencies in an emergency situation.
