Job summary

UK Power Networks (Operations) Ltd is seeking a Billing Analyst to join our Finance team in Crawley. You will prepare and issue accurate invoices, allocate payments, monitor balances and resolve billing queries across two systems.

You will work with 220 electricity suppliers and IDNOs, maintain data quality, support system testing with vendors, and provide clear insight to senior management. A 9-12 month fixed-term contract with blended working after probation.

Qualifications

• GCSEs with English and Maths, A-C/9-4 or equivalent.
• Strong numeracy and data handling skills.
• Experience in a commercial or financial environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices with complete supporting information.
• Allocate bank payments and resolve cross-company allocations.
• Monitor outstanding balances and manage non-payment penalties.
• Maintain standing data and investigate anomalies across large datasets.
• Resolve billing queries and disputes across two billing platforms.
• Build effective relationships with 220 electricity suppliers and IDNOs.
• Support system testing and work with vendors on fixes and enhancements.
• Provide clear information and insight to senior management, Pricing and Contract Management teams.
