Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Shakopee, MN seeks an Energy Assistance Program Specialist to provide client services for the Energy Assistance Program. This 0.8–1.0 FTE seasonal, full-time position offers 9 months of work with summers off in the Shakopee office.

The role involves intake, data entry, and helping applicants with the application process, along with answering questions about the program and ensuring compliance with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 1 year public/customer service experience, or high school diploma with 4 years related experience.
• Ability to engage in difficult conversations regarding program guidelines and criteria.
• Preferred experience withdisabled, mentally ill, non-English speakers, and/or lower income clientele.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including TEAMS, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Intake and basic data entry for energy assistance program applications.
• Determine eligibility using state program methods and verify income as needed.
• Maintain all records according to agency guidelines.
• Enter information into the e-HEAT software system.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Coordinate vendor consumption and follow up activities.
• Provide excellent customer service to all individuals.
