Job summary

Midcoast Maine Community Action seeks an Energy Programs Specialist to assist clients in Sagadahoc and Lincoln counties with energy and housing program applications. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience in a high-volume office setting is required.
• 6 months of experience working with low-income populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and eligibility assessments by phone, in person, and at outreach events to determine program eligibility.
• Review applications submitted online for completeness and contact clients for missing documents.
• Process applications and determine eligibility per program guidelines.
• Communicate with clients via email, phone, and in person to address questions and provide follow-up support.
• Schedule appointments for energy and housing programs to ensure efficient operations.
• File documents and perform data entry to keep records up to date.
• Provide information and referrals to clients and maintain confidentiality and customer service standards.
• Attend trainings and meetings to stay current with program guidance.
