Job summary

Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. is seeking an eligibility assistant to help households access energy assistance. You’ll determine client eligibility, collect income verification, and assist applicants throughout the application process.

You’ll enter data into the statewide database, prioritize emergency cases, and provide outreach to publicize the program; training is provided and confidentiality is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 2 years related experience.
• Background in social services preferred but not required.
• On-the-job training completed within a year.
• Commitment to BI-CAP's values of collaboration, innovation and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Assist applicants with the energy assistance program applications; determine eligibility.
• Review applications and enter information into the statewide database.
• Prioritize applications to provide emergency assistance during crises.
• Provide outreach to help publicize the energy assistance program and work with vendors.
