Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois is seeking an Activity Specialist to mentor and lead youth ages 6–18 across programs. Under supervision, you will create energetic, engaging activities that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles and good character.

You will build positive relationships, enforce club rules fairly, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver safe, high-quality programming while representing BGCCIL with professionalism and care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of youth development and mentoring.
• Ability to relate to Members, parents and staff professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success by building relationships and mentoring Members.
• Implement engaging activities and track participation.
• Maintain order and safety and model professional behavior.
• Assist with planning and evaluating programming and events.
