Job summary

Performance Ford of East Hanover, LLC is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, listen to needs, and schedule appointments. You will obtain vehicle information and clearly report symptoms to guide maintenance decisions.

You may also arrange loaner vehicles and verify insurance prior to service. The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and teamwork within our Ford dealership family.

Qualifications

• Prior experience at a Ford dealership is a plus.
• Ability to identify the problem quickly.
• Knowledge of automobiles.
• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant.
• Personal and professional integrity.
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Minimum of 1 year in service department.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, friendly attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers
