Job summary

Performance Ford of East Hanover, LLC is seeking an EXPERIENCED Assistant Service Manager/Service Advisor who will greet customers, listen to their needs and schedule appointments. The role requires attention to vehicle symptoms, accurate labor/parts estimates, and clear communication about work performed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year in a service department.
• Experience at a Ford dealership is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly.
• Obtain customer and vehicle information.
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer.
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history.
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts.
• Establish follow up time.
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently.
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order.
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers.
