Job summary

Christopher Newport University seeks an Endpoint Technician I to provide frontline technical support for Windows, macOS, and mobile devices across campus.

The role focuses on endpoint provisioning, software deployment, configuration, and documentation, working with Endpoint Administrators to maintain secure, reliable systems and improve service delivery. Telework is eligible; incumbents may need on-site presence as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Jamf 100 certification or the ability to obtain Jamf 100 certification within six months of employment.
• Experience providing front line customer service, gathering information, diagnosing issues, or troubleshooting end user technology.
• Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, or maintaining Microsoft Windows and/or Apple macOS operating systems.
• Experience working with computer hardware, software applications, peripherals, or common endpoint technologies.
• Experience working in a technology support, service desk, help desk, or similar customer focused technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across Windows, macOS, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Support modern endpoint management, device provisioning, configuration, and software deployment.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Collaborate with Endpoint Administrators to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Assist with security, lifecycle processes, and issue resolution to keep systems secure and up to date.
