Job summary

The University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department is seeking a full-time Endpoint Services Technician in Miami, Florida to provide user support for network and endpoint problems. You will install, configure, and maintain endpoint devices, escalate issues, and keep tickets up to date while delivering quality service to academic and administrative staff.

This role requires handling confidential information, working evenings or weekends, and adhering to university policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Acts as first point of contact for endpoint solutions and network issues.
• Provides quality customer service to all clients in a timely and professional manner.
• Organizes and prioritizes support requests.
• Monitors, administers, tracks, and verifies completion of help desk tickets.
• Assists staff with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of endpoint devices, peripheral equipment, and software.
• Loads and configures software on endpoint devices.
• Performs regular maintenance and updates on endpoint devices.
