Job summary

Ascension is seeking an Endoscopy support professional in Elk Grove Village, IL. You will prepare patients for procedures, interpret and report results, monitor patients, and maintain equipment and lab area as part of the Endoscopy team.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent with experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, plus BLS certification within 30 days of hire. The role offers day shift, full-time hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or transfer date, acceptable from AHA or Red Cross.

• Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, positioning, and prepping testing sites.
• Interprets, describes and reports test results; recognizes errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.
• Monitors patient before, during and after procedures and reports any abnormal findings.
• Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area.

• Interprets, describes and reports test results. Recognizes recording errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.
• Monitors patient prior to, during and after procedures and promptly reports any abnormal findings in patient’s condition.
• Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
